Today I have spent a lot of time drooling over books that I cannot read.  Why can’t I read them?  Because, sadly, they are not out yet and while many other people have had the opportunity to read some of them, I am not so lucky.  To share my envy with the world (or the maybe 3-5 people who currently meander their way to this blog) and to possibly inspire a small group of equally envious people, here are the top 5…ok, 6 reasons that I cannot wait for fall:

  1. Cybele’s Secret by Juliet Marillier because of this awesome book you should read
  2. Graceling by Kristin Cashore — envy inspired by Bookshelves of Doom
  3. Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins — envy inspired by Librarilly Blonde and nineseveneight
  4. Revelations by Melissa de la Cruz (first read Blue Bloods and Masquerade)
  5. Shadow Kiss by Richelle Mead (first read Vampire Academy and Frostbite)
  6. The Silver Blade by Sally Gardner (first read The Red Necklace)

October and November seem to be particularly bountiful and I am sure a number of other great books will be released during that time.  I might have to schedule some time off from work just so I have time to read all the anticipated greatness! <sigh>
