From Librarilly Blonde: Oprah is promoting some seriously good teen lit.  Check out the list on her website for readers 12 and up.  I haven’t read everything on the list but I’ve heard great things about most of the titles I haven’t read…I really need to get around to reading Gary D. Schmidt.  And can I say how ecstatic I am to see Red Glass by Laura Resau on the list!  That book is amazing — it has already made the cut for my top ten reads for this year — and it has received so little notice.  Sad!  I was also happy to see that Silver Kiss by Annette Curtis Klause made the classics list.  While I think that Blood and Chocolate is better, I loved Silver Kiss and it is thrilling to see it considered a classic.  As Librarilly Blonde pointed out, it is awesome to see that Oprah is promoting such a great list of current teen reads.
