So many books, so little reading.  The story of my life for the past three months or so, though now there are even more books it seems!  Anyway, here’s what I’ve been checking out but not reading. :)

I’m currently reading Cybil’s Graphic Novel finalists and have 53 items checked out and 11 items on hold.

New books have been trickling in and I have been checking them out.  These few are just the beginning of what I can sense will be a crazy checkout spree that will find me setting a new record for the number of books I have checked out on my card.

I’m currently reading The Lonely Hearts Club and have 44 items checked out with 12 (!) more on hold.

I’m back to blogging, I hope.  I have survived a month of too much programming at the library and levy campaigning.  I’m happy to report that our levy passed, soundly — 70% for and 30% against.  Hopefully we’ll be able to convert some of that 30% before the renewal in five years…but I’m not going to think about that for now. :)  Here is what I checked out during those crazy weeks:

Sorry I’ve been MIA for the last few weeks.  I went on a much needed beach vacation (very relaxing but lacking internet, which was probably a good thing) and now I’m playing catch up.  Here’s my large haul:

  • Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins (which my husband read but I did not and now I have to return it because of a hold…but it’s ok, unlike 90% of the population I’m not dying to read it so I can wait to get it back)
  • The Splendor Falls by Rosemary Clement-Moore (which I’ve already read so review at some point)
  • Magic and Misery by Peter Marino
  • Rage: a Love Story by Julie Anne PetersRage
  • Hate List by Jennifer Brown
  • As You Wish by Jackson Pearce
  • The Fat Boy Chronicles by Lang Buchannon
  • Blue Plate Special by Michelle Kwasney
  • The Silver Blade by Sally Gardner (!!!! Yeah! I LOVED The Red Necklace so I’m really excited to read this!)
  • Intertwined by Gena Showalter (a little iffy on the multiple souls in one body thing but most of the reviews I’ve read have been positive so we’ll see)

Also, I joined a new group called ROYAL (Reviewers of Young Adult Literature) through my local library cooperative SWON Libraries.  We meet every other month and discuss books that have been sent to the group by publishers for review.  Here is what I got at this meeting:
